Dental Care For Disabled VeteransWho is this program for: Singing River Dentistry has recently partnered with the VA and LHI to be able to provide services for veterans in our community. This particular partnership only applies to veterans receiving 100% VA disability and benefits.What is included:If the Veterans Association approves the treatment, then all approved dental work is included in this service. At your initial appointment, a participating dentist will perform a full evaluation, including x-rays, and present a treatment plan, which then requires approval from LHI/VA. Once that is approved, LHI should cover all costs. How do I know if I qualify:The best way to learn and/or apply for coverage is by contacting your Veterans Affairs office. If you qualify, they will then help you apply for benefits with LHI. Their team will also assist with your referral to our office once coverage is active. How can I schedule an appointment:A patient/veteran needs to obtain a referral from their VA doc to start the process for an appointment. This can be done locally in Sheffield (The local clinic number is 256-381-9055) , or through the Birmingham clinic. They can call and request a referral to Singing River Dentistry for their dental needs. Once we receive the referral we make an appointment with the approved LHI provider at our location and notify LHI and the VA of the appointment. We currently have Dr. Petersen, Dr. Gardiner and Dr. Rudolph credentialed to participate in this partnership. Dr. Gardiner & Dr. Petersen practice in Tuscumbia and Dr. Rudolph in our Madison office. For an emergency situation, contact your VA nurse for an emergency visit within our office. We are, however, honored to serve all veterans, even if they cannot participate in this program, and are in network with many insurance companies and offer payment plans through our lending partners. |
