Meet Our DoctorsDr. Jimmy GardinerTuscumbiaDr. Jimmy Gardiner has always enjoyed calling the Shoals, AL, area home. Born and raised in Tuscumbia, AL, Dr. Gardiner is fulfilling his lifelong dream of serving the people of Northwest Alabama. Dr. Gardiner finished his undergraduate studies at Birmingham Southern in 1987 with an emphasis in chemistry and history. He graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry in 1992 and immediately opened his private practice in downtown Tuscumbia. In 2001, the office relocated to 121 East 6th Street. "This move has allowed our office to reach its full potential," said Dr. Gardiner. Dr. Gardiner is a member of the ADA and is committed to at least 60 hours yearly of continuing education. He has always been passionate about life and eager to take on new challenges. In 2011, he was inspired to embrace the changing face of dentistry and renewed his commitment to continuing education by studying research on the direct link between oral health and systemic health. Dr. Gardiner has consistently invested in advancements in dental technology, such as digital radiography and the 1-day crown E4D system. This year Dr. Gardiner also became a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, which is dedicated to the role of dentistry in the management of sleep disordered breathing. Dr. Gardiner enjoys people and taking care of patients' needs. He also loves educating and motivating our team members and patients to be their very best. Dr. Gardiner and his wife, Nan, have two children, J. and Ryan Leigh. They enjoy spending time together on their farm and other outdoor activities. They especially look forward to hosting the annual Saddle-up for St. Jude event in Tuscumbia, which has raised over 2 million dollars for St. Jude's Children Hospital. Dr. Gardiner and Nan can also be seen on Friday nights in the Fall in the press box at Deshler Stadium, as Dr. Gardiner becomes the voice of the Deshler Tigers. Dr. James L. MaplesTuscumbiaDr. James L. Maples united with Singing River Dentistry in 2014, joining his lifelong friend Dr. Jimmy Gardiner, to provide quality dental care for people in the Shoals, AL, area with extended hours and quality dental care. Dr. Maples graduated from Deshler High School, Tuscumbia, AL, and continued his education at the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 1991 from UAB School of Dentistry. From there, he came back to the Shoals, AL, and began practicing with Dr. Rivers Lindsey in Florence, AL. Dr. Maples has been practicing in the area for 30 years. He continued his practice after Dr. Lindsey retired and remained until he became part of the Singing River Dentistry Team. He has always enjoyed being a family dentist working with patients of all ages. When he is with a patient, he strives to help them achieve overall health in a pleasant environment. He was recognized as the Times Daily Shoals Favorite Dentist. Dr. Maples has always been active in his community. He grew up attending Tuscumbia First United Methodist Church, where he served as youth minister for five years. He now enjoys teaching the "Character Builders" men's Sunday school class. Dr. Maples also stays active at his alma mater, Deshler High School where he played on the Deshler Football team and now serves as the team chaplain. He also enjoys working with Dr. Gardiner on the radio broadcast of Deshler Tiger Football. Dr. Maples has been married to his high school sweetheart, Mashea Holden Maples, for over 30 years. Together, they have three children, Jessica, Lauren and Tanner. Jessica and her husband Nick have a daughter, Harper. Their daughter Lauren and her husband Casey have two sons, Carter and Sadler. In his spare time, Dr. Maples enjoys fishing and doing yard work. On occasion at church or local events, the audience is always blessed when Dr. Maples and his wife sing duets. Dr. Nolin ConnellRussellvilleI am native of Muscle Shoals, AL. I have returned back to North Alabama to serve and join the team that offers the highest caliber of dental care in the area. It is a joy to be back in the place I call home. I have one sister who lives in New York with my brother-in-law and niece. I graduated from Auburn University in 2016 with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with honors and a minor in Spanish. I then attended UAB School of Dentistry, where I graduated in 2020 with my degree in dental medicine. I have spent many years abroad in medical missions (including Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Guatemala), and I hope to use my skill and knowledge to serve underserved populations in the future. I am a member of the American Student Dental Association, American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, and American Academy of General Dentistry. My goal is to provide a fun and inviting atmosphere with my team, for all ages, from the second you park to the moment we complete your treatment. I am here to provide a great experience at the dentist as well as healthy smiles for a lifetime! Dr. Hailey ParkMuscle ShoalsDr. Park was born and raised in South Korea, where she dreamed of moving to America. At age 15 she moved to America and lived with host families in Oregon and Colorado where she received great support and love from her community. She chose the dental field so that she could provide for others with the same care that she grew up with. Dr. Park graduated from Harding University with honors and graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2018 with her doctorate of dental medicine. Dr. Park quickly became a special part of our dental family. She loves getting to know her patients, and her patients love her energy. Her laugh is infectious, and her positive mindset drives everything she does. Our team is inspired by her one-of-a-kind, fun-loving energy, which spreads happiness to everyone she meets. She prides herself in always learning and growing her skills by taking many extra courses. After work, she loves outdoor activities, photography, playing the piano, and making videos with her husband! Dr. Krina PatelFlorence Helton DrDr. Krina Patel grew up near Valdosta, GA. She graduated high school early at the age of 16! She then attended Valdosta State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.. After finishing her undergraduate education, she attended Midwestern University in Chicago where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine Degree. Dr. Patel is educated in comprehensive dentistry and during her clinical rotations she was able to broaden her pediatric knowledge. She currently works primarily at our children’s office, SRD on 5th.She is fluent is 3 languages, including English, Hindi, and Gujurati. She also has a fondness for coffee and loves a friendly competition. She loves her work, and always volunteers for the on call shifts, but during her free time, she likes working out, reading, and traveling! Dr. Daniel PetersenFlorence Hough RdDr. Daniel Petersen grew up in Madison, AL where he graduated from Bob Jones High School in 2006. Immediately after graduating, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69). He served for six years working with both missile systems and radars. After his enlistment ended, he attended the University of Alabama. He graduated in 2015 with his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology (summa cum laude). He then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry where he graduated with his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2020. After graduation, Dr. Petersen desired to gain more advanced dental training while simultaneously giving back to the men and women who have served this country. With this in mind, he was honored with the opportunity to serve our veterans at the Birmingham VA Medical Center, and earned an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency certificate. Dr. Petersen resides within the Shoals community. When not working, he enjoys spending time with both his family and friends. He loves working out, and is completely fascinated on how nutrition combined with exercise can change a person’s body composition. Dr. Petersen has big aspirations to earn his private pilot’s license, and travel the world. As a Navy veteran, he is also obsessed with any sport or hobby that involves the water. Likewise, his chocolate lab, named Brody, is equally in love with the water. He has been trained and is highly proficient in dental implant placement, complex tooth extractions, endodontics (root canals), periodontics (gum and bone health), and prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, and dentures). As a firm believer in life-long learning, he stays up-to-date with the latest dental techniques by regularly attending continuing education courses, and implementing those new techniques into his dental practice. Dr. Petersen is a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Ryan EatonMuscle ShoalsDr. Eaton grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and attended the University of Louisville for undergraduate studies. There, he met his wife, Savanna. Later, the Eatons moved to Arizona and spent six years exploring the Southwest. In October of 2021, their son, Graham, was born. They enjoy road trips, seeing new places, eating at local restaurants, camping and being outdoors. Dr. Eaton graduated from Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine. Dr. John OrrTuscumbia, Treehouse Children's DentistryDr. John Orr graduated from Tufts dental school in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2021 and practiced dentistry in Massachusetts for a year following graduation. Dr. Orr is excited to be a 5th generation dentist serving the people of Alabama, Dr. John M Orr was the 14th dentist in the state of Alabama (John’s great-great grandfather). He continues to stay on the cutting edge of digital dentistry and learning new innovations with his partners at Singing River Dentistry. He is originally from Vestavia Hills, near Birmingham. He attended the University of Alabama for undergrad, following in his father’s and grandfather’s foot-steps, where he majored in Biology and Spanish. He is excited to use his Spanish to care for the Hispanic population of Northwest Alabama. He met his wife Maxie while pursuing a medical sciences masters at Mississippi College. Maxie is a doctor at Tennessee Valley Pediatrics. Dr. Orr and his wife are very excited about serving the people of Northwest Alabama. They discovered the beauty of the Shoals when Dr. Maxie completed her 3rd and 4th years of medical school at Helen Keller Hospital in 2017-2019. They enjoy the outdoors and all things involving the water. He particularly enjoys sharpening his chef skills, golf, slalom skiing, and kayaking. The Orr’s are excited to become active community members in the Shoals! Dr. Mitzi WadeTreehouse Children's DentistryMitzi Wade, DDS, grew up in the North Alabama area and received her undergraduate degree from Athens State University in 1997. She then completed her master’s degree from the University of North Alabama in Secondary Education. Contemplating a career change, she wanted to combine her love of children with her passion for healthcare. Her friend's sister, a dentist, encouraged her to explore the benefits dentistry offered patients. Dentistry appealed to her since she knew the joy of making children smile. With her own dental experiences from childhood in mind, Dr. Wade wanted to build an environment where children felt safe and comfortable. Following four years of teaching, Dr. Wade attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and earned her degree in 2007. For the last 15 years, she's focused on treating children and patients with special needs, and she specializes in helping families who rely on Alabama Medicaid. “I desire to make each child’s experience a positive and encouraging one," Dr. Wade said. "I want to help them build good dental habits that will stay with them as adults.” Dr. Wade is married to her husband, Tony. They have three sons Kendall, AJ and Ian Seth. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening and watching her children play sports. Dr. Bradee SittasonMadison, AthensDr. Bradee graduated from Auburn University with her degree in Biomedical Sciences. She then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry where she met her husband, Payton. She and Payton (who is also a dentist) love spending time with their family and friends, traveling, experiencing new things, and meeting new people. They have a mini dachshund, Hank, that they adore. Dr. Sunitha MadasuTreehouse Children's DentistryDr. Madasu is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, where she majored in math and she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She has been practicing dentistry in the Shoals for over 20 years and her wisdom and calm manner make her the perfect addition to our pediatric team. Dr. Madasu is surrounded by doctors- her dad and brothers are medical doctors- but she is the first in her family to choose dentistry. She is a proud aunt to seven nephews and two nieces and spends time with them as often as possible. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, playing the piano, and getting together with friends. Dr. Margaret ParkerFlorenceDr. Parker grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi and graduated high school from Saltillo High School. She then attended Mississippi State University where she majored in Chemistry. Dr. Parker received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2019. In her spare time Dr. Parker likes to read, walk her dogs, spend time with family and travel. Dr. Glen RudolphMadisonA graduate of Muscle Shoals High School and Huntingdon College, Dr. Rudolph earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at UAB School of Dentistry in 2013. Upon graduation, he joined the SRD team, where he practiced dentistry and provided exceptional dental care to residents of the Shoals. In 2016, Dr. Rudolph moved to accompany his wife as she completed her medical training. Together, they have lived in Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee and have recently settled in Madison, Alabama with their two children. Dr. Rudolph rejoined our team at Singing River Dentistry in 2022 and is currently serving in our Shoals area and Madison locations. Dr. Stephen WatkinsTuscumbiaA North Alabama native, Dr. Stephen Watkins graduated from Deshler High School in Tuscumbia. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Alabama after playing baseball at Jefferson Davis Jr. College in Brewton. From there, he achieved his dental doctorate at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry in 1995. He has now been practicing in North Alabama for 27 years and counting! Continuing education is a big part of Dr. Watkins’ commitment to clinical excellence, even today. He has taken countless courses in general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry to further advance his skillset. He is also a proud member of the American Dental Association. He stays active in local community organizations and his church serving on various boards and committees. Away from work, Dr. Watkins spends plenty of quality time with his family and two grandchildren. Some of his favorite hobbies include playing golf, tennis, bike riding, kayaking, enjoying the great outdoors, and working on the family farm. Dr. Ashwini DangleTuscumbia, Treehouse Children's DentistryDr. Ashwini Dangle, known by her patients as Dr. Ash, was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She moved to Houston,Texas shortly after graduating from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India. Her dream to learn and practice the most advanced dentistry brought her to the United States and she is excited to begin her professional journey as part of the Singing River Dentistry family. In her free time she loves to read books, go hiking, and experiment in the kitchen cooking for her friends and family. She also enjoys going on spontaneous road trips and attending music concerts. Dr. Dalton WrightTuscumbia, Treehouse Children's DentistryDr. Dalton Wright grew up in Tuscumbia, Alabama and currently resides in Ford City with his wife, Katie. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Alabama in 2019, then went on to receive his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2023. In his spare time, Dr. Wright enjoys spending time with his wife, playing golf, cooking, and joking around with friends. He is honored to begin serving patients in his hometown. Dr. Ravi LingineniTuscumbia, Treehouse Children's DentistryDr. Ravi Lingineni embarked on his journey in the field of dentistry in India. His commitment to excellence led him across continents to the United States, where he further honed his skills andearned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree from The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in Los Angeles, CA. Passionate about forging professional relationships with his patients, Dr. Ravi believes in understanding their unique needs and interests. His patient-centered approach extends beyond conventional dental care, fostering an environment of trust and comfort. Dedicated to staying at the forefront of dental advancements, he ensures that his patients receive the most up-to-date and innovative dental treatments available. Beyond the dental chair, Dr. Ravi finds joy in an active lifestyle. Dr. Evelyn ColnMadisonDr. Evelyn Coln attended Birmingham-Southern College, where she earned a degree in biology and physiology. During her college years, she was actively involved in the dance team and later became a cheerleader. It was during this time that she met her husband, Bo Coln, who was a basketball player. After completing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Coln pursued a master's degree in public health with a focus on Epidemiology at UAB. Subsequently, she continued her education at UAB by attending dental school there. As a child, she had a fear of dentists, but finding a dentist who helped alleviate those fears inspired her to pursue a career where she could assist others in overcoming their dental anxieties. Faith holds a central place in Dr. Coln's life, and she is an active member of the Church of the Highlands. Faith guides how she interacts with others and is her source of strength. Dr. Coln is a proud parent of four children, aged 17, 15, 13, and 9, all of whom are homeschooled. Their family includes two dogs, Jacques (a Portuguese water dog) and Gryffendor (a Havanese). Jacques previously served as a therapy dog at Dr. Coln's former practice. Additionally, they have two cats, Nugget and Hufflepuff. Outside of work Dr. Coln has a deep love for the outdoors and enjoys both camping and hiking. Dr. Jacob PeteTuscumbiaDr. Pete graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013 with a BS in Public Health. After working in the environmental health management field, he chose to return to school to pursue his dental degree. In 2024 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in Canada. Dr. Pete has been a full time missionary, health specialist, educator, and most importantly a dedicated father and husband. He and his family are excited to now be a part of the Shoals area community. He and his wife Lorena have four children (Olivia, Kaleb, Nolan, and McKay). He is motivated to build a life and legacy defined by serving God, his family, and his neighbors. He believes that each role he has played in life has given him opportunities to enrich people’s lives in unique ways, as well as teaching him selflessness, teamwork, compassion, and to strive for excellence in everything he does. As he practiced these attributes in dental school, he found joy seeing patients find relief and confidence again in their smile and function. His career vision is to practice in an environment with teamwork, positive communication, continuing education, and mentorship, and to provide the most compassionate and highest quality care for his community.
